About the Team Behind THCA Small Buds

The team behind THCA Small Buds brings nearly a decade of experience across the legal hemp and cannabis industries. Over the years, the founders have worked in cultivation, trimming, retail support, training, product handling, and ecommerce operations. This hands-on background helped shape a practical understanding of how hemp products are grown, processed, and distributed within evolving regulatory environments.

Their journey reflects the rapid development of the hemp and cannabis space over the last decade — from early CBD advocacy to hemp cultivation, education initiatives, and emerging cannabinoid markets.

Our Start — 2014

CBD Advocacy and Community Support

The founders’ entry into the industry began after learning about Charlotte Figi’s widely known story involving CBD and epilepsy awareness. Inspired by the potential of hemp-derived products, they launched a nonprofit initiative called CBD Saves, which focused on community education and local CBD flower delivery support within Nevada.

This early effort helped build connections with growers, patients, and hemp advocates while providing firsthand experience in product handling and logistics.

Going Legit — 2016

Cannabis Workforce Training

As Nevada’s regulated cannabis industry began expanding, the team recognized the need for workforce training and staffing support. They launched MMJ Trainers, an education program focused on preparing individuals for roles in licensed cannabis businesses.

During this period:

  • Over 2,000 students graduated from training programs

  • Many went on to work as budtenders, trimmers, and production staff

  • Training programs expanded to California, Florida, and Hawaii

This stage helped establish long-term relationships within the regulated cannabis sector and strengthened operational knowledge across multiple states.

A New Frontier — 2018

Hemp Cultivation and Ecommerce

With the legalization of industrial hemp under federal guidelines, the team shifted focus toward hemp cultivation and online distribution models. They began working directly with hemp farming operations and ecommerce systems designed to distribute hemp products nationwide.

One of the most recognized projects during this time was CBD Hemp Direct, which became a large online hemp marketplace. The experience gained during this period included:

  • Hemp sourcing and cultivation partnerships

  • Ecommerce fulfillment systems

  • Compliance documentation and shipping standards

  • Customer education initiatives

This phase marked a transition from local operations to nationwide hemp distribution.

Industry Recognition — 2020

Hemp Cup Award

During a period when ecommerce demand increased significantly, the team continued developing hemp products and cultivation partnerships. In 2020, they received 1st Place recognition in the High Times Hemp Cup for a Paradise OG CBD kief joint.

This recognition reflected years of cultivation collaboration and product-handling experience within the hemp flower category.

A New Era — 2021

Emerging Cannabinoids

As hemp production increased across the United States, the industry began exploring new cannabinoid categories derived through laboratory processes. During this period, the market saw rapid growth in alternative hemp-derived compounds such as:

  • Delta-8

  • Delta-10

  • HHC

  • THC-P

This shift required businesses to adapt to changing regulations, consumer awareness, and product education needs.

Expanding Markets — 2022

Alternative Product Categories

Building on previous ecommerce and distribution experience, the team explored new product categories within the broader botanical market. This included products such as Amanita muscaria mushrooms and other legally distributed mushroom-based items.

The expansion reflected a broader industry trend toward alternative botanical products and educational marketplaces.

Legal Hemp Evolution — 2023

THCA Flower Awareness

As regulatory discussions around synthetic cannabinoids increased, attention shifted toward hemp flower containing THCA derived from compliant hemp cultivation. Legal interpretations of federal hemp legislation contributed to growing awareness of THCA flower within the hemp marketplace.

During this period, the founders launched projects such as:

  • THCA King

  • THCA Small Buds

These initiatives focused on hemp flower education, cultivation transparency, and product-handling standards.

Experience Across the Industry

Over the years, the team has participated in multiple areas of the hemp and cannabis ecosystem, including:

  • Cultivation partnerships

  • Workforce training

  • Ecommerce operations

  • Compliance documentation

  • Hemp product logistics

  • Community education

This broad experience informs their understanding of hemp flower production, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
